How Much Longer? is built to be private by default. During the current beta there’s no account required, and your moviegoing data stays with you — on your device.

● The short version

  • Private by default during beta. No account is required to use the app — your data stays with you while we test the core experience.
  • Your data stays on your device. The app does not currently use cloud sync and does not upload your sessions or stats.
  • No tracking, no analytics, no data sale. We don’t track you across other apps or websites.

● What the app stores

How Much Longer? stores the following locally on your device:

  • Movie sessions you create and their timing.
  • Your favorite theaters.
  • Timing corrections you make to a session.
  • Your moviegoing stats (watch time, preview time, genres, theaters visited).

You can remove a movie session at any time using Delete This Movie inside the app.

● Location

Location is used only when you choose to find nearby theaters. It helps the app show theaters near you. You can also search by ZIP code instead. The app does not track your location in the background.

● Movie information

Movie information and posters are powered by TMDb. This product uses the TMDb API but is not endorsed or certified by TMDb. Requests to TMDb are made to fetch movie details and posters; the app does not share your personal moviegoing data with TMDb.

● What the app does not do

  • It does not sell your personal data.
  • It does not track you across apps or websites.
  • It does not currently use cloud sync.
  • It does not currently collect analytics.

● Accounts and subscriptions

How Much Longer? may offer optional account and subscription features in the future. If added, account information will be used to manage access, sync, and premium features. This policy will be updated before any cloud sync, leaderboards, or account-based features are released.

If an optional Sign in with Apple is offered, it may provide your name and email address if you choose to share them. Signing in would always be optional, and the core movie timing experience will remain usable without an account.

● Your control & contact

You can delete movie sessions in the app at any time. Because data is stored on your device, removing the app removes its data.
